NRS Symposium Animal Models
During the first symposium of the NRS Task Force "Animal models in pulmonary research", which was organized in Utrecht on October 13th 2011, experts in the field gave an overview on animal models for current human lung diseases and lung development. The symposium was attended by 42 participants. We would like to thank all speakers for their excellent presentations and thank all participants for their contribution to the lively and stimulating discussions. Four colleagues already volunteered to give a presentation at the next symposium that is scheduled for the fall of 2012.
Our aims include the generation of a database that contains the expertise of colleagues in the field of experimental lung research in animal models. At the symposium it was decided that the database will only include information that can also be retrieved from Pubmed, including contact information, research group, scientific questions and expertise. At the symposium many colleagues agreed to send us their information, but wanted to have an example in advance. Therefore, now an example is included as an attachment, click here. After the database is complete the information will be made accessible via the website to members of the NRS only.
Please send us your contribution by email (see details below).
With kind regards,
Gert Folkerts and Gerry Wagenaar.
