NRS 3rd Spring Meeting
On April 15th 2011, the NRS will organize the NRS 3d Spring Meeting in “De Jaarbeurs” in Utrecht. The theme of this year’s meeting is: “Networks in Health and Disease”. The meeting will consist of sessions with top speakers and poster presentations of recent research. Those who have submitted an abstract have been notified by e-mail about the details on poster presentation. The dimensions of the poster board are:130 cm height and 97 cm width (portrait format). Materials to mount your posters on the board will be available. Do not forget to register for the meeting (use the button at the bottom of this page)! NRS members are advised to first login to the NRS internet using their membership number and e-mail address. This way you do not need to fill in all personal details.
Young researchers (< 36 years) have been invited to apply for the NRS Young Investigator Award sponsored by Chiesi when submitting an abstract. The winner has now been selected based on the quality of the submitted abstract, and the award (€ 5000, to be used for scientific training, meetings etc) will be presented during the NRS 3d Spring meeting where the winner will give a presentation of his/her work. In addition to the scientific program, the meeting will also provide NRS members with the opportunity to discuss the NRS plans and strategy during the NRS General Assembly. The agenda for the General Assembly has been sent by e-mail to all NRS members, and is available on our Intranet site (members only).
The scientific program is now available here, and includes sessions on networking between cells, how to use networks, and networking beyond the borders of pulmonology. The list of speakers includes international speakers such as Tom Bradley (Toronto, Canada), Jay Kolls (New Orleans, USA), Kirsten Moeller (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Tobias Welte (Hannover, Germany), and top national speakers (Roel van Driel [Amsterdam] and Wim Fibbe [Leiden]).
