Dutch Lung Congress 2022

The Dutch Lung Congress aims to facilitate updating the field about lung science, to cross fertilize science opportunities in the Netherlands, and to stimulate networking. It will provide an opportunity to bring together everyone interested in lung science: basic and translational researchers, clinical researchers, patients, carers, industry, policy makers, etc.

This year the Dutch Lung Congress will be organized as a fully live event at the Crowne Plaza in Utrecht (near Utrecht Central Station). Explore our preliminary program below, including confirmed speakers (more speakers to be announced soon) and check out what we'll be talking about during DLC: scientific sessions about Advances in Imaging in the Pulmonary space, biologicals in severe asthma, Pulmonary Vascular System (Clinical/Basic translational focus), Mucus and the Immune system (Clinical/Basic translational focus), Respiratory Infections beyond COVID-19 and Epigenetics in Respiratory diseases. The science presented by the participants from submitted abstracts will be another highlight of the meeting.

Abstract submission for the Dutch Lung Congress
Do not miss out on the opportunity to present your research at the conference. The best scientific abstracts submitted by early career scientists will be selected for an oral presentation, all other accepted research will be presented as digital posters. There will be dedicated time in the program to view the posters.

There will be poster awards (within research themes),- a best pitch award recognizing the presentation skills in the virtual environment,- and a NRS Chiesi Young Investigator Award, (based on the submitted abstract, the research impact statement, the oral presentation and discussion during question time).

Extended deadline June 1st, 23.59 h.

The NRS Swierenga Medal will be awarded by the Professor dr. Jaap Swierenga Foundation under the auspices of the NRS. The medal will be awarded to a highly esteemed individual who is active in the area of respiratory diseases in the broadest sense. This may pertain to a great merit in diagnosis and/or treatment and/or science and research and/or special societal merit in respiratory diseases.

Call for proposals for the NRS Mid-Career Award 2022
Extended deadline June 1st, 23.59 h.

The NRS Mid-Career Award is presented every 2 years to recognize outstanding achievements of established mid-career researchers in respiratory science. The award of € 10,000.- should be used for research activities and include a plan for societal outreach. The awardee(s) will report at the annual meeting of NRS, the Dutch Lung Congress.
