Many patients who have had COVID-19 continue to have health complaints for a long period of time. The long-term effects of the damage caused by the virus and the body's response to it is unclear. The Lung foundation Netherlands is committed to people who have permanent lung damage from corona. They want to use research to map out the long-term consequences of this virus on lung function, and to analyze solutions and the impact on daily life. They do this together with the Long Alliance Netherlands (LAN) in which more than thirty organizations are united in the field of prevention and care for people with lung diseases, including associations of lung patients, pulmonologists, general practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, companies and the scientific organization of lung researchers (NRS).
