New Scholarships available for Clinical Development course
starting April 9 

Due to the large interest, a new online course for Clinical Development will start in April and scholarships will again be available for selected candidates. These scholarships will cover 50% of the total course fee for participants of the complete blended course Clinical Development (online + on-campus + extended). The online course will start on April 9, 2018

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply for the scholarship if:

  • You are a graduated physician-investigators or biomedical scientist;
  • You are employed at a University Medical Center in the Netherlands or Netherlands Cancer institute (NKI/AVL);
  • You will participate in the blended course Clinical Development (online + on-campus + extended).

€500,000 grant from ZonMw for Best Clinical Trial Application

During the Clinical Development Extended Course, participants learn how to write a proposal for a new clinical trial with the guidance of a personal mentor who is an expert in their field. All eligible participants may compete in the Best Clinical Trial Proposal challenge and Paul Janssen Futurelab awards the best proposal with a nomination letter for a highly competitive grant of €500,000 from the Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development (ZonMw). Participants of the extended course must first successfully complete both the online and on-campus sections. The online course is concluded with an online exam.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply for the ZonMw grant if your proposal:

  • Was developed during the Clinical Development Extended Course;
  • Concerns a trial design with a registered drug;
  • Concerns a trial to be conducted in a research institute or hospital in the Netherlands.

How to apply

All eligible participants of the Clinical Development Extended course are encouraged to submit their proposals for the Best Clinical Trial Proposal challenge. Participants must complete their proposals and submit before the closing date. Final details about the requirements of the proposals and the closing date will be communicated during the extended course.
